Hi Craig – sadly, that’s right. We’re a volunteer organisation, and we’re running a bit behind. We spend a lot of time arguing for the right to use trails, before we even get to organising the events, and the website has to wait on those two..

The calendar at the top of the Events page has the correct dates for 2010 events, and most will be the same format as the current links to 2009. Subscribing to the newsletter will also keep you up to date. Since we’re dashing from one job to the next, generally event details are updated about two months ahead of events. Glasshouse has been running longer, and Ian will usually get all three events online well before the first event in May.

Was wondering when the calendar of events comes out for 2011 so I can plan some runs.

Simple really; just find somewhere local which has similar trails. If you want to enjoy it, pick somewhere beautiful. Pay attention to your footing if you’re new to trails, to avoid sprains.

There are not a lot of rougher trails ie singletrack rather than old forestry roads which you want to train for adventure racing – trying an Orienteering or Rogaine event is the best entry to that. Lamington NP has a lot of rougher trails though, as do some parts of the Great Walks.

    Cheers, Greg

Hello, saw your brilliant interview on The Great South East last night. You have inspired me!! I would like to know if there are any clubs or runners down in the Logan, Beaudesert area who do trail running.

    Thank you Kerry

I recently saw the TV story on your association. I moved to Coolum Beach from Sydney 6 mths ago and am keen to run some trails with others. Are there regular training runs on the Sunshine Coast? If so who should I contact about them. Thanks Susan

Hello Susan, you can try Lazy Runner Club on the sunshine coast. They may head to trails around your area. The Sunshine Coast Great Walk would be one of them.

Hello Kerry, have a look at the Coolrunning club list here One of the best things about trail running is that you don’t need a running club to enjoy trails. mtbdirt.com.au have great maps of trail in SE QLD click here
    cheers

Hi Greg, I competed in the Mt Glorious race this morning for the second year now and wanted to say thanks to you and your team for all of your hard work in organizing this awesome event. The legs are a bit weary at the moment but am already looking forward to the next TRAQ event. Cheers.
