TRAQ prepared a background paper prior to an April meeting with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service’s senior South-East Queensland managers, and provided a shorter overview for a meeting with the Minister for Sustainability Andrew McNamara at an April 2008 Community Cabinet meeting.

Coming out of these two meetings, a Trail Events Forum was established with Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation support and invitations sent to all known trails event organisers and organisations. The first meeting was held on 29 May; you can read the minutes here and a report here
