The inaugural Wild Horse Criterium will take place on April 4th, Easter Sunday. Sponsored by Active Stride and run under the auspices of TRAQ, the event will encompass three separate races of 10.7, 32.1 and 53.5 km’s run around a 10.7 km circuit.  The start/finish will be at Wild Horse Mountain car park.

The course should be fast and relatively flat. It’s all trail with a mix of fire road, packed sand and plain old dirt with nothing too heavy in good conditions. You won’t need walking poles here, it’s all, as they say, ‘runnable’. Those of you who have competed in the Glasshouse 100 (mile) event, the ‘Wild Horse at Night’ run or were on the night run in August last year witll be familiar with most of it. The course will start and finish at Wildhorse Mountain car park and run an elongated loop out toward Pumicestone passage and back.
