I’ve watched the movie several times now, and love it. Marco had a tough life, with limited jobs in his mountain village, and fitted running around an 8 hour day driving a digger in a quarry.
The film makes plain what a hard and ordinary/extraordinary life story is behind how he can still find the determination for his training at 60 years old, to race with the best in some of the toughest races in the world.
It won’t please everyone - its not what I’d call a feel-good movie - but it will help runners who buy it reflect on their own lives, as well as marvel at the achievements of Marco Olmo.
I would really like to watch this but can’t find it anywhere. I’ve tried to order it through his website, but at $65 its a little too expensive for a doco. Is there anywhere I could download it?
