Pinnacles Classic - Saturday 10 April 2010
This is a course for seriously fit runners, with 18 hills over 18km! Entries close 7th April with 100 entrants allowed. The course is in Brisbane Forest Park , at the end of Gold Creek Road Brookfield, starting from Gold Creek Reservoir. There is a portaloo, water at the halfway point, and a barbeque after.
Start time:
6.50 a.m. briefing, 7.00 start. Allow 27 minutes from central Brisbane via Kenmore (slower runners can leave thirty minutes earlier).

I just missed the online entries for this. Is it possible to still get into the event?? I’d really love to do it if it isn’t full.

Would also love the chance to enter if at all possible.
Entries on the day were excepted this year, but runners should be aware fields are growing and some runs fill up now, so its best to enter as early as possible.
By the way, we do instant online refunds if something comes up and you have to change (less the $5 processing fee we incur).
I’m intending to run in 2011. I live in the area and run on other parts of these trails but prior to last saturday hadn’t been far in that direction.
I’m intending to run the course next weekend but was told that it now goes through private property on the Gold creek reservoir/upper brookfield side of the course.
Can you confirm this and if so tell me what the situation is with this please?

Well, I ran it just for “fun” (8th May - clockwise).
Yikes!
Got around in 2.08 but with more walk breaks up hills than I was happy with or anticipating. Some of those hills…………………
