Western States 100 Reports
1. Bill Thompson: What a great event to be part of – I’m usually over there on my own. The 2007 course is much harder than the one I completed in 2004. So much for records. 12K of flat road and a nice easy scenic circuit at Robinson was replaced by the plunge down to Duncan Canyon and long climb out. Read more

1. Kato: Friday night found me spending a restless night in the Spartan but convenient accommodation of the Numinbah Environment Centre. It was cold as a fridge in the cabin, a ten sleeper, on my own - I made no impact on the warmth in the room at all. Read more

660 trekkers at the starting line, 66 teams finished with all four team members and only 27 teams retired out of 165 starters on this tough 96km event. Read more

The next run in the Glasshouse Trail Series is the Flinders Tour to be conducted on Saturday 28th July based at Beerburrum State School. Also on at the school is a fete referred to as Matthew Flinders Day. Read more

Saturday, 21 July 2007 at CJ Greenfield Complex - Freeman Road, Richlands (UBD Map 198 E20). Incorporates the Queensland Masters Athletics (QMA) Long Course Cross Country Championships. Cross country events are a great chance to do an organised run on nice soft grass without having to travel too far. Read more
